Dr. Tay Chong Hai is the National Arthritis
Foundation's Founder Chairman. He is currently
in private practice and a consultant physician
and rheumatologist at Mt. Elizabeth Hospital,
Gleneagles Hospital, Mt. Alvernia Hospital and
East Shore Hospital. In 1969, Dr. Tay discovered
Trichothiodystrophy or IBIDS syndrome, sometimes
better known as the Tay's Syndrome. This sydrome
is now well established in all major dermatology
and genetic textbooks.
