Ms Jackie Lee, owner of Astonii Boutique, United Square initiated a fundraising event in aid of Man Fut Tong Nursing Home and Juvenile Arthritis Club on 18 January 2003. She roped in tenants and the Landlord of the shopping mall to kick-off the mall’s Chinese New Year festive celebrations. Many other sponsors, like Caratell, Jean Yip Saloon, Artdecor, Cold Wear, Skateline, Phillip Wain, House of Thoughts, Simple Hut, etc also put their hands together to give the event a glitter. Auction items included diamond pieces donated by Caratell, custom-made handcrafted lamp shape specially flown in from Europe by Artdecor, clothes hand-carried from Milan by Ms Jackie, memberships donated by Phillip Wain, etc. More than 10 JAC/JLC families attended the delightful afternoon with Professor Feng Pao Hsii, Chairman of NAF, who was the Guest-of-Honour.
